The “Early Identification and Intervention in Children’s Development” project, supported by the Global Albanian Foundation (GAF), focused on promoting early identification of developmental needs and strengthening timely support for children and their families. Through developmental activities, professional guidance and awareness-raising, the project aimed to improve children’s well-being, participation and access to appropriate support at an early stage..
“Early support can make a lasting difference in a child’s development.”
Early identification plays an important role in supporting children’s healthy development and in helping families access appropriate guidance and services as early as possible. Through the project, KIDC worked with children, parents and professionals to increase awareness of developmental needs, encourage timely assessment and promote supportive practices that can strengthen children’s progress in everyday life.

The project combined child-focused activities, professional support and family engagement in order to create a more responsive environment around each child. By strengthening knowledge, observation and early response, the initiative contributed to a better understanding of children’s individual needs and to more coordinated support for their development and well-being.
Supporting Children and Families from an Early Stage
Through early identification, developmental support and close cooperation with families, the project helped strengthen the conditions for children to receive appropriate support at the right time. The initiative also reinforced KIDC’s commitment to promoting children’s development, inclusion and well-being through practical, family-centred and community-based approaches.
